“I would like to introduce to you the topic of today’s overview – this ingenious set of Moziblox cubes! I should start with the fact that this is an extremely relevant game for the development of coordination, spatial thinking and creativity… But you know all this perfectly well already! But I really want to pay tribute to the aesthetic component specifically. Cubes are not just beautiful. They are impressively beautiful. Smooth, perfectly polished wood, pleasant colors, patterns that offer many opportunities for creativity… This game was first released in 1965 (I’m sure you already know that only the best can last so long on the market 😉 I’ll say more – today Moziblox is considered to be one of the leading inventions in the educational games industry) … But never again was this idea put into practice so perfectly. Now all areas previously painted white are simply covered with clear varnish. And this is a serious step forward – both in terms of design and in terms of the educational component of the game concept. Template cards of various difficulty levels are included in the game. By the way, some of these tasks will make even us adults rack our wits… However, there is no doubt that the most interesting thing is improvising. We can create the most incredible images – not only 2-dimentional, but also three-dimensional, we experiment with colour, shape and scale! Moziblox is a unique opportunity for educators, therapists and parents in terms of the development of children’s abstract thinking, combinatorial thinking, concentration, the ability to conceptualize, plan and calculate.”

Moziblox is an amazing product I would recommend it to any therapist who is looking to make an investment in their practise. It is a wonderful tool for parents to use with their children and will present with many exciting challenges for the whole family.

Gwen Reddy, Occupational Therapist, South Africa

“I have fortunately inherited one of the older versions of Moziblox from my gorgeous mom. My children are 2 and 4 and absolutely loving them. I can remember hours of enjoyment with these same blocks myself as a child.”

Genieve Frick, Retired Psychologist, Australia

“You will never believe how many discussions I’ve had in my life with teachers and therapists about this product. Please never stop making it!! It’s a wonderful tool. Our local remedial teacher swears by it for improving reading!!”

Erika van Zyl, Occupational Therapist, South Africa

“I am a cognitive psychologist working in London with children who have visual perceptual and motor difficulties. I have been using the original set of Moziblox as part of my therapeutic package for over 25 years and they are unique in the contribution they make to the therapy.”

Dr Angela Webb, Psychologist, UK

“I am a remedial tutor of some 15 years, heading my own remedial teaching unit in London for the past 13 years. Having specialised in visual perception and neurodevelopmental therapy, I have found Moziblox an invaluable tool. This block design activity, soon to be restructured as Cleverblox, allows me to help children deal with sometimes profound spatial difficulties. It is used by many to teach thinking skills but I have found that, when used regularly in a controlled program, it can also enhance neural inter-hemispheric integration and so improve a parts-to-whole (gestalt) understanding, allowing the individual to become far more organised in their thinking. In this way a profound improvement in comprehension and general performance can be achieved. Thank you for this wonderful teaching instrument. I look forward to the new version.”

Tamara Nathan, Remedial Teacher, UK

“Educational toys and all sorts of puzzles was always part of our household. Then I found Moziblox and my 4 children with their friends never stopped playing with it. There was always one more challenge or pattern to build. But the best was to build the cube. The results showed in Maths and IT marks, and all four my children studied and became professionals in the fields of Maths and Science.”

Judith Hattingh, Mother, South Africa

“We now have Moziblox. It was a project getting it – since it cannot be found in Serbia – it took a lot of e-mailing to finally buy it. I cannot find words to describe how great that game / toy is.”

Tijana Pendzic, Serbia

“Moziblox Nature is pure class and fitting as the top-of-the-range Blox product.”

Gerard Finnemore, Clinical Psychologist, Johannesburg (SA)

The German “spiel gut” award was created to encourage toy manufacturers to bring better toys on the market. The award is given to toys that meet specific criteria, which have been continuously developed by an independent committee composed of psychologists, educators, parents, and other individuals since 1954. More than 2,500 toys have already been given the spiel gut award, and as many as 600 new toys are tested by the committee each year.
The spiel gut committee evaluates toys based on the following criteria:-ability to stimulate the child’s imagination-ability to hold the child’s interest with numerous play possibilities-connection to the child’s environment-appropriate size and quantity-durability-appropriate ease of use-safety-environmental friendliness-price. Companies who would like to have their toys certified by spiel gut must send a product catalogue. The spiel gut committee will then decide which toys it would like to test. The company must send samples of the toys. The toys will be evaluated by the committee, and tested by children and their families. The committee then decides whether to certify the toy.
